Peter Subway Peter
Subway
Peter was one of the first singer/songwriters to perform in the subways of  Berlin before it became the popular thing to do. (Hence the Peter "Subway" name tag.) He is the former front man of "Barking Fish" and "Facelifters", two alternative rock bands from Berlin. Peter released an EP on Twang/EFA in 1991. Two of his songs are featured including "Remember" and "San Diego Blues", both of which received critical acclaim and many reviews; "He might be the strangest singer I have ever heard, it is either madness or genius" writes one critic. His music and lyrics reflect life in Berlin and can be described as underground ballads with an industrial cutting edge sound interlaced with conventional hard rock elements. Peter now performs as a solo artist and visits the U.S. as often as he can. He has been featured on the last five Transatlantic Management compilation CDs and has appeared at the prestigious South by Southwest Music and Media Conference in Austin, TX, where he has been very well received. His first CD entitled "Headland" which is self produced, showcases the charismatic Peter Subway at his best. Peter's second CD "Good Luck" has just been released and promises to be even more popular than his first.
